Living Wax Museum

On Tuesday, April 14th the 6th and 7th grade Gifted and Talented students hosted a Living Wax Museum. The students took visitors on a journey through time to explore innovations in the development of communications, from Revolution-era spy codes to modern technology such as Facebook and Instagram. The students created informative and engaging displays to go alongside themselves as they posed in their wax figure stance. As visitors approached, the students became the animated version of the person that they had chosen. In full character, the students spoke about themselves,  giving visitors a one-minute glimpse of history.

The GT students did a great job and the visitors in attendance were very impressed with the entire Wax Museum. Thank you to all of the students, teachers, and families of Nixon-Smiley that helped make this event a success.
