January 24, 2024 Nixon-Smiley CISD Family, The District administration has traveled the area roads and determined that they are safe to travel at this point in time. Due to the heavy rainfall from today and tonight’s forecasted storms, Nixon-Smiley CISD will have a two-hour delay to begin school on Thursday, January 25th. Middle School classes will begin at 9:50 am (tardy bell). Cafeteria will open at 9:00 for Middle School students. If you are dropping off your child, please drop them off at Circle Drive. High School classes will begin at 9:50 am (tardy bell). There will be no morning senior-releases for high school students. All students are expected to be at school by 9:50 am.
