Mustang baseball’s game that was postponed on Friday has been rescheduled. We will be playing Stockdale in Marion at 10 am on Monday morning (May 3rd). This will be varsity only. Ticket information will be posted as soon as we get the link.
Families of NSH Seniors: Wilson County News will be publishing the 2021 Tomorrow's Leaders graduation section in early June. The paper wants to give you, the Senior parents, information about placing a personal ad in this section for your son/daughter. These ads give the section a personal touch and are a way for you to recognize the child's achievements.

There will be TSI tutoring available for the month of June in the Nixon-Smiley High School Library for High School Students. June 30 at 8:30 am we will administer the TSI test for any students who still need to take it. This test can be used to meet eligibility requirements for High School honors courses. Last night, the Lady Mustang Softball Team beat Stockdale 15-4 in 6 innings. We finished district play in 2nd place!! We will play Llano in the first round of playoffs next week. As soon as we gather all the information we will get it sent out.
Sydney Wyrwich went 5/5 at the plate. Kendall Amaya and Mary Kate Garcia went 4/5 at the plate. Cecilia Villasana and Kiara Andrada went 2/4 at the plate and Mady Velasquez went 1/3. Kendall hit a 2-Run homerun in the 6th inning.
Kendall pitched 4.1 innings, had 3 strikeouts and 4 walks.
Mady came in, in the 4th inning and finished the last 2.2 innings, had 5 strikeouts and 1 walk.
Our girls did an outstanding job tonight, we are so proud of them! We look forward to the next round. Thank you all for your support!!
Softball Update: Nixon - Smiley and Stockdale are currently tied for second place in district. They will go head to head to determine which team will take second place.
